Ask your dealer the meaning of "may". As in " may" exhibit a mil for P0016 or other diagnostic trouble codes. That's the wording in the tsb

I guess I am next
Just heard this noise today. Took video, will be visiting dealer early next week. I am at 52k, so I am going to be sure to push them on this and mine definitely does not sound as bad as some others.

I too have an appointment to bring in my truck on the 28th but since my last post three days ago things have gotten a lot worse for mine. The truck shakes like a jack hammer and it now has no power. It idles at 2000 rpm while in park and it really sounds like this thing is going to blow up. The check engine light and the wrench light have now come on also. Like I said, once you get the grind on start ups things go down hill fast. Might I also add that I had the TSB 14-0194 done three months ago (5000km ago) and this will probably be my second time around at it. Boy do I ever regret buying this truck!
Good luck, hopefully they could fix yours right the first time around but I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

Yup, you're right about this one! That would explain the small puddle of water in the drive way this morning. So I guess that now in addition to the timing chain issue I'm now cursed with the CAC condensation issue. Great! What next!

Ok, so I got my truck back, was at the dealer from 4-10 to 4-23. One of the hydraulic chain tensioners was retracted so they replaced it. Even kept it overnight so they could double check it. Went out to start up this morning & the noise was back. Made phone calls. It's going back in for round two next week. I have a csr case open with Ford & have talked to the service mgr's boss. I'm not blaming anyone or even terribly upset, but I would like to see a definitive fix & not have to deal with this on a regular basis.

Did they cover a rental for you?
I had my truck in for the third time at Meadowvale Ford from the 21st to the 23rd of April. They did manage to address the shuddering of the engine and the loss of power I was having along with the check engine light and wrench light. The engine was misfiring in cylinders 1 and 5, they said that the intake manifold gaskets needed replacing. As far as the grinding on cold startups they attributed it to the serpentine belts needing replacing. Had that all done over the two days it was in the shop.
After the truck sat overnight in my drive way, guess what I heard when I went to start it up? You guessed it! The famous grinding noise. Maybe these trucks come with an installed coffee bean grinder that they never told us about when we bought them. Makes you a fresh brewed cup of coffee in the morning to get your morning started right!
Anyhow, I've lost total confidence in Ford and I swear I will never buy another Ford product again however I will continue to be a thorn in Ford's side because I spent way to much money on this truck to have it run this way. I'm no mechanic but I know the difference between a truck engine that's running well and one that isn't. I can clearly hear that this engine is off. Never sounded like this the first 50k km so please don't try to fool me and tell me the truck is fine! Total disrespect to customers on Ford's behalf.
