That's what I thought...and why maybe some people have the issue still after replacing the chain and tensioner...they still are having oil pressure bleed off. I will compare the parts they replaced to what's on the TSB and see if there's any differences.
Went and beat the crap out of it for 60 miles tonight and its running like a beast. Only 100 miles on it so far but running very well. So happy with it right now!

Very interesting Maplelake. The tensioners are a stepped tooth design with small increments so they lock in. I'm curious if the locks are failing and thus not enough pressure with the leaking seals.
Jumping a tooth on one (two?) cam(s) is a huge amount of slop. Any chance it was assembled that way and the original programming saw it as normal?
Wonder if the tech primed the oil system with the cover off to actually observe oil seep.

Truck seemed to be doing fine but still lacking. A week after having the timing chain redone, I took it back in. Stock was lacking and it was really obvious tuned. Dealer tested it and said timing was still on and all pids were on the low side of normal.
Long story short, I data logged two buddies trucks and noticed my fuel pressure was half what there's was. Put a new pump/fuel filter assembly in the truck and its rockin now tuned!

Does ford with the IDS have pressure read outs from both low and high pressure fuel sources?
