Makes you wonder what their plans are for your truck. Probably in a month or two, we will meet the new owner of your old truck in this thread - LOL. Glad you got a new truck!!

Huntinrig I'm soooooo happy to hear you finally had enough with the run around fords been giving you and everyone else. Congrats on the new truck! I've been keeping up to date with the thread ever since I was a part of this and even after I got my new 5.0 f150. I hope all works out for you with the new one and I'm even releived knowing you finally can get back to living your life and doing what you do without having to think about your truck being up to the job or not. I'm thinking you made a great decision! Gimme a shout sometime I'd love to chat again about all this if you ever want to. Cheers

A fine end to this epically long thread...
So just to confirm, it was the dealer that stepped up and replaced the truck, not Ford corporate?
I think you should make a final youtube video of the new truck starting normally and make sure you tag the dealer that made it happen.

The service manager at the dealer felt strongly that since my truck made the noise so fast after the initial repair that he wasn't going to have an issue getting authorization to open the engine. He was wrong... Ford blocked us every where. Ford Engineering is like this shadow organization at Ford that nobody can contact or override or anything. They (dealer) tried to get Ford to come to the party with some type of new vehicle allowance to assist in getting me out of the truck as sometimes has happened (Ford refused) and I didn't qualify for a Buy Back. If I qualified for a Buy Back I would have 100% proceeded with CAMVAP.
The selling dealer was able to find a similar truck with my seating arrangements 40/20/40 and after a few days of negotiations they brought it in for me. I really hate Ford for how they are treating all of us with this issue. I just hope they come out with a proper fix soon.

That is all so much like the Air bag thing. No repair has been decided because there is no remedy. Or so much double talk. So they load it up and haul it to a OEM approved facility and replace the motor or crush someone else dreams..

I would not consider this an end to "this epically long thread" just because a dealer resolved the problems for one customer. They didn't even fix his truck they just put him in a new one, that doesn't help anyone else in this thread such as myself who are having the same issues with their truck.
I will not let this thread die, it would take a mod locking it before I stop posting here, and then I would just start another thread. This issue needs as much publicity as possible, ford should not be able to treat their customers in this manner.

They didn't fix my truck because there is no fix. Aside from engine replacement and that wasn't a possibility without getting authorization to open the engine.

It all depends on your situation and how much time and money you are willing to waste. I put up with all the same **** huntinrig did for over a year and after exact outcome every time I decided this is enough and traded it in before it got any worse. I would of boycotted ford and went to another brand if the other brands had a better truck but know body did and I LOVED my truck so I just got the same one pretty much but with the 5.0. I got it for 41,000 from 58,000 and the 26,000 for my 2011 with 112,000kms That's good enough for me. I wasn't wasting anymore of my time and family and work time with that the Ecoboost. I can alwaysake more money bit time is a lot more valuable and I can't make more time.
