I am curious, they told you that you had a SCT canned tune specifically on it? or just that it had been tuned?
Others that have been tuned in the past , have removed the tune and took it in stock and had no trouble.
Besides, Ford knows the stock trucks have several issues.

I would also make them tell me exactly what caused the problem and explain to you how the weak SCT canned tune caused the issue.

All they knew is something had been hooked up, they could tell because there was no drive history. If it didn't have a hole in the block I could have drove it say 50 miles and been fine. Like you said as well Deere I won't just take a verbal accusation. I doubt I will win the battle but may help every one that owns one in the future. Multiple people I know bought a truck with this engine and are now sick with the thought of having a 50 grand horse drawn carriage!

Curious were you in manual mode lugging it to accelerate or just straight up normal light acceleration? Just wondering because the potential for detonation is really high on boost rising at low rpm.

True, most detonation occurs in low rpm/high load scenarios. Still would think it to be a tuning issue though.

Welders know that when you weld the inner circumference of a cylinder it shrinks its outer diameter. If you want to remove a part inside something, say a Bearing cup and you have no other way just weld around its inside diameter and it will fall out. This said it also puts stress on the entire assembly. Do I trust it ? No. And they are breaking. I'm sure the OEM is using stress relieving ways to compensate for it but do I believe they are entirely successful ? No. See how many do blow/break over time ? I am glad to see the new 2.7L with its design block come along for F150 ! Hope OEM expands its sizes and also go NA.
OEM's Plasma Spray is simply extreme heat and vaporizing while blowing it onto the surface.
I hope I'm entirely wrong about this cracking thru the mains to the cylinder wall and block near the motor mounts fasteners.

I was in auto mode steady foot position on the accelerator letting the transmission do its thing.

Dude just say you had a code reader hooked up. Always deny. If they say anything say prove it. Especially with all these stock Ecos going around here. I new and see way to many threads popping up

From what I gathered talking to the service rep at my dealer they couldn't find anything like nothing at all no max rpm speed nothing so the sct did to good of a job removing it's self and that's how they could tell something was hooked up that altered the ecm.

Have they found anything such as an excessive amount of water or oil in the bottom of the CAC?

Well it happened wed night and they didn't get the truck until 11am or so and all they did was crawl under it and hook it up to the computer. What makes me wonder is them wanting to replace all of the intake tubing with out even looking inside unless they have and didn't tell me.
