2011 EB p0017-p0019 (NOT p0016)
2011 EB with 170k miles
Never has a problem with this pickup until now (considered lucky). CEL came on literally as i was pulling in to change my own oil (6500 mile interval, got busy, normaly do 5k)
Temps have been well below 0 most days here but the pickup was running perfect up until this point. Now i dont know if im just hypersensitive now but it seems to be lacking power and it sounds louder like a pickup with a V6 where is whiney and high revving, compared to this quiet EB im used to driving. I also could be crazy but the lack of power seems to be intermittent and ive developed a bit of a shudder at highway speeds under load (had this before but went away with new plugs). Plugs have about 20k on them and i check them to eliminate that problem and they all gapped at .32 and i cleaned them up a bit.
So...without the P0016 code do i really have a timing chain issue (no cold start rattle) or is there something that i am missing??
Thanks in advance
ps i dont wanna spend 2-4k getting this fixed if i dont have to but thats better than a new motor if the chain slips/breaks
