Updated my 1-12-2017 Post to show both correct O ring sizes and the Internet web link where to get them.

31mm is the ID that I got for the Y pipe to thermostat housing o-ring, 4mm was the o-ring cross section. Good job on the wright up and the share of knowledge! Hopefully the repair lasts.

Default Leak Repair Update II

Good to know you get a match with the 4 x 31 ID on the small end O ring! I took the truck this morning for a 15 mile round trip. The engine coolant temp normalized after a bit to slightly below midway C/H. When I returned I took a flashlight and mirror and inspected the two O ring locations. Happy to say there are dry. The Recovery Coolant tank level had stayed pretty much constant since the trapped air bled out within the first few hours of reassembly.

I was curious and researched a bit on the 5.0L DOHC V8. The same 'T' Connector part is still in use on that engine up to and including 2017. With Ford not supplying the small end O ring as a replaceable part, its easy to see why the 'T' connector stays back ordered frequently.

Default Leaking coolant

Been losing coolant for Coolant leaking
about two weeks. Finally found the source. Any ideas on repairing it?

That looks like the upper hose or lower, hard to tell for me, I have that same leak - found the part on amazon, but you can buy aftermarket also.

ford just quoted me $416.00. Last week it was problems with the 4 wheel drive at $260.00. Starting to wonder about ford.

I hear you, mine started leaking after it went in for an oil change from Ford, but I'm chalking it up to coincidence and taking to to an independent shop for repair; too dang cold out for me to do it.

I got the upper and lower hose and t-stat for $100 and was quoted from the independent shop something like $200 for flush while the fluid is out, labor and for them to get new ford fluid. I did call my local Ford first to get a quote, but that was over a week ago so I guess they didn't want to do it because no one called me back.

the whole thing comes as one piece. Can't get the O rings either.

That would be too easy. (: My hoses are a bit soft anyhow and don't know if the Rad fluid was changed prior to purchase, too bad, but at least I'll know now.
