Started with replacing just the hose ($40) and I guess I am one of the lucky ones because there is no longer a leak.

Thanks everyone for the posts. Huge help!

Keep a close eye on it during regular intervals just to make sure it's holding up.

I've got the drip....... yea

Pegasus is out of the hose.

I already ordered the OEM hose from rock auto and was just searching online an easy way to replace it when I found this thread.

Guess I will throw on the OEM and wait for Pegasus.

To the Ford rep, I just wanted to add my name to the list. No doubt this is widespread. You think ford is selling tons of replacement tanks for some other reason? lol

Pegasus got these back in stock fast, before I had a chance to throw on the Ford band aid (OEM hose).

Holding great, had to tighten the hose clamps after a few days since I didn't get them snug enough at first but now a couple of weeks with no drips.

Thank you Pegasus and AMP77!

Figure I power wash the steering pinion where this was dripping on. Not sure if that's a good idea though.

Arg, no sooner than I got this sealed up, I see that there are 2 more larger versions of these ford quickconnects leaking right up next to the engine, front center!

NOOOOOOOOO

Is ford still using these quick connects in the 2016's?

I don't know if they're still using these fittings but hose and clamps have worked always. Send some pictures of your new leak - I seem to recall a few other people on this thread had coolant leak issues from places like you're describing.

Here is a picture looking up to the front center of the engine from below it's where the upper radiator hose connects to the DR3Z8566A T connector.

The T connector also has one of these fittings where it connects to the (water pump?) then the lower radiator hose has a 3rd quick connect further away, not sure how many more this engine has.

Just putting this out there, have not read the whole thread, since my tank was replaced. The leak at the t connector I had too recently and is easily fixed by changing out the O ring that's inside. It's a Ford part it's updated in design. Costs 10$. Easy fix. Dealer wanted 460 including replacement hose and t connector.
