2011 5.0 engine being replaced at 45,000 miles
Wife's 2011 low oil pressure warning kept coming on, but quickly shut off. Ford dealer 3 times tried to tell her nothing was wrong and they fixed the issue. After bringing truck back 3 times in a week finally checked oil pressure and it was low. Took motor apart and found metal shavings and grooved cylinder walls. Going on day 30 and have another 15 they say before truck is fixed.

Please shoot me a PM with your full name, best contact number, VIN, and dealership information; I'll see how I can help out with that engine.

wait. what?
question, sorry to thread jack but it seems kind of relevant - has Ford actually changed anything in the 5.0 block to prevent all of these cylinder issues from happening, or are they just throwing in new bottom ends that are still the same?
