So I spoke with SCT they say that the 5l 2011 can be custom tuned even if its not on the sc3 list. Does anyone know of someone doing it yet?

There are 3 people that I know of doing it right now. There's probably more, but that's all I know at this point.

Most people seem to be going with 5 star tuning on here. VMP tuning seems to take forever to get anything done. I personally went with AED, and worked with the guy for about a week back and forth with logs to get a 87/93/e85 tune established for our trucks. I am very happy with mine, and everyone that has a 5star tune seems to be equally as happy.

I see allot of go quick on 5 Star page but what about MPG for the 2011 5.0? Any improvement?

Heres my opinion. Completely stock I did a 120 round trip to columbus a few weeks ago with about 400 miles on it. It was in the 40s so had the heat on a little and averaged according to the computer about 18.8 mpg on the highway. Today with 5 Stars 87 octane economy tune and about 600 miles on the truck I made the same trip. On the way down with it being 75 degrees and have the a/c on and a 20mph head wind I did about 18.1 mpg. On the way back with just the window cracked and no more wind I got 21.0 mpg... so to me it seems better

my thoughts are 5star tuning i got a tune for mine and i love it it brought my truck to life and mike is great in the customer service department,although i cant tell u much about mpg i can tell you that it helps hp and shifts, i didnt buy mine for better mpg i bought mine to haul ***!
