You can buy a complete takeout motor from car-part.com for $3 to $4K with turbos. Part out your good parts on your motor, turbos, heads etc and you can be into another motor for $2K or less. You can also buy a new shortblock from Ford for $2K online...

Just out of curiosity, I priced out a rebuilt 3.5 ecoboost engine for a 2011 F150-

thats it... I need to get rid of this POS before its too late.. Ive been here 3 friggin months and its been like clock work, somebody blows their **** up. Ive put 8500 miles in 3 months of ownership to show how much I drive also.. GL with your truck. I'm seriously contemplating taking the 6-7k hit now and not deal with it later..

Such a stupid move on a less then 1% failure rate when the other motors offered have the same rate of failure. Then again if you bail that easy you will not be happy with any motor ever produced. Lame

You stop to think about the 200k ecos out there with NO issues?

Or how about mine that is modded to the hilt that I beat like a red headed stepchild making 200lbft more tq then stock with not one issue. If you jump ship because a total of 4 motors have thrown a rod likely from ingesting water. Just does not seem smart to me

I hear you man...its all about motors in my garage. Just hate to see so freaking many kaboom threads in one forum. Believe me Im in assorted bike forums, mustang forums, m3 forums..and so forth. Just hate to see so many ****ed up threads like these in one forum. So dont take it personal
