I guess I'm one of the lucky ones as well. I live in the Ozarks - no huge mountains but tons of hills, plenty of stop and go.
Mine's been sitting right at 17.4 for months now - 2013 5.0L 4x4 XLT SC with stock 18" wheels. 3.73 gears, I believe.

ive got an 11 5.0 SC lariat with 3.55's and everyday on the way to work @75 mph im averaging between 17.8 and 18.2 on the lie-o-meter. when done by hand its actually pretty accurate being .1 to .2 off tops. just about 60k on truck and fresh plugs gained me .5 mpg. im curious to what people are getting with tunes?

Mine is has a lifetime avg. of 17.8 according to lie-o-meter. Hand calculated at 17.2. I can easily see 20+ on the highway here in Texas. I just went to Port Aransas and got 17.4@76 in headwind of about 10-20. On the way back I pulled 20.6@76. That tailwind helped a lot.
I got the following on the way to the indy 500. I know it's an anomaly but it sure was nice as I actually averaged 21.6 hand calculated on that leg of the trip.

I'm at 12.7 average; not too happy but I came from a V10 F350, so it's better than 9 MPG. That said, I've got 34.5 tires, a level, a ranch hand bumper, and a tool box. Those mods only really accounted for a 1.5 MPG loss though.
