I have a 2009 Lariat 5.4 with single in, dual out flowmaster 40's with 6" tips. I really do like the deep raspy tone it gives but just doesn't seem loud enough for me. I have been considering getting something different but still not a 100% sure yet. I just wanted to see what everybody elses setups are and how they like it.

I have true dual Flowmaster super 40's with black tips cut at a 45 degree angle, I really like this setup a great rumble at idle and really opens up when you let your foot down but that's just my opinion

Try borla's, I have a 07 f150 5.4 with true dual borla s-type's and I love them sounds great at any rpm

2 16" Magnaflow Glasspacks true duals. with 12" 2.5"x4" Magnaflow tips. Sounds good for me.

Start with a good set of headers..Many quality brands out there. Id go with the Magnaflow Muffler system. Great quality.

I've got an 03 5.4, originally was running a glass pack with the stock tail pipe, wasn't very loud so I took the tailpipe off, was much louder and sound pretty good, but the glass pack fell off when offroading so now I'm just running no muffler or tailpipe its pretty d@*M loud and sounds good. if you want yours louder id suggest just dumping the exhaust right after the muffler no tailpipes
