Default Viper alarm 5901 w/remote start

HEY I AM BUYING THE VIPER ALARM 5901(P/N 5702V) BUT WANTED TO CHECK ON YOU ALL'S INPUT AND IS ANYONE USING THIS ALARM - MY PRESTIGE IS SEVEN YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN INSTALLED ON THREE VEHICLES OVER THAT TIME - IT'S TIME TO UPGRADE.

IM BUYING THIS ALARM WITH THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:
1. VIPER ELECTRALUMINESCENT INDICATOR (620V)
2. AUDIO GLASS BREAK SENSOR (506T)
3. DIGITAL TILT MOTION SENSOR (507M)
4. WINDOW AUTOMATION SYSTEM (530T)

I run a 5901 setup tje same in a 2009 F150 Platinum, works great. If you have a tonneau cover, consider adding a switch to the tailgate so it's armed as well.

would you think the "trunk" device that comes with that could work for tailgate - probably not its just another actuator i guess...

im actually putting the 5900 on my truck, great alarm.... but if your trying to protect something in your cab like sound equipmet... get 2-3 piezo sirens... only about $20 each and they will make ears bleed of those who break into your truck

I got this alarm from amazon for $200 brand new with remote start. I honestly love it and yeah the blue light it comes with damn near lights up the whole windshield. You wont regret getting this one.

yup, have this alarm and love it.

of the two other viper alarms, and one autopage, that ive had, this is by far the best.

How easy is it to install something like this? Because BestBuy is charging $499 (installation included) and saying I would need a part for the truck so they are saying it would cost around $650 for the whole system.

thats a good price... i just dont personally like/trust/had good experience with best buy.

my shop installs the alarm for the $800 as suggested.
