Viper 4205v

i worked for best buy as the senior installer for 5 years and installed many viper rs units. very rarely did i have any problems with the units themselves. usually the issues were related to bypass modules or specific issues with interfacing with a particular vehicle. they are good overall units and the one button system is pretty simple to install and use. not sure if you have talked to them about a price quote yet or not, but make sure you budget more than just the unit price. there is also a bypass module you will need and possibly need to run power from the battery for it.

They did mine. Not a 4205v but just a 2-way remote start. I also had them hook up the rear defrost to come on when I start it (they will have to try again for that). But I am very happy with the range and no issues to speak of so far.
I have been watching the ford factory remote start threads on here and if my dealer would have made me aware - I would have chosen the factory 2-way start. From what I have read it would have overridden my manual controls for climate.
Unfortunately - I have not been real impressed with any of our dealers around here and their lack of knowledge - but I probably should have researched more myself.
I like my remote start though and Best Buy did an acceptable job except for the rear defroster.
