Thanks for the straight forward answer. Sorry to have asked what seems to be a stupid question. Its just that those products advertise around 5 mpg increase with the combination of mods. I was looking for the increase in HP as well and i heard what that could be, so i was wondering about the "bonus" gas miles. Thanks anyway.

You are welcome. Do you fill up at least 34 times a year? Also I don't think it was a stupid question I asked the tuner on my truck several times.

If i was a chevy guy in this forum asking these questions i would understand the reason for being rude and sarcastic. Give me a break, there is no need to be a dic to a fellow ford owner! I have experienced nothing but helpful (senior and junior members) people on this site until now.

I didn't see anyone here being a "dic" to you, just trying to show you how long it takes to get your money back.

I'm sorry if I came off as a *****, but sometimes sarcasm in missed in text. Sorry.

WOW what the heck are you talking about italian85? I was in no way being rude or sarcastic, I was "trying" to help. I did the math and think as I stated if you fill up 34 times a year you can have your mods paid for with the gas savings. I also said as you have quoted from me I didn't think the question was stupid as I have asked myself. In what way was I or anyone for that matter rude or sarcastic to you?

...gas savings aside, I have a superchip on my truck. I personally did it to reclock my speedometer after changing my tire size and then again after changing out my gears. I did feel a noticeable difference in power and "get up and go," but if you think that you might abuse that then it is probably gonna cost you more than it would save. I'm not the best person to ask about gas savings since I have 37" tires and 4.56s, but if you want to wake-up a sleeping demon it is a movement in the right direction. With that said there are some people that swear by these programmers and believe they save money left and right, but myself I think it may give you a little increase in mpg but it is definitely nice for fixing the speedo after mods as well as having the ability to adjust shift firmness.
