Undercover Swing Case

You could rivet a metal bottle opener onto one of them, like on the end of my basement bar.
The weight limit is supposed to be 75 lbs, but mine is struggling with about 50 lbs. The hinge handles it fine, but the latch is difficult to release. Also, my trailer hitch ball mount was sitting in there loose and wore a small hole through the side of the box. Make sure you wrap it up with an old shirt or something to keep it from moving around.
I'm getting another box soon for opposite side. I need to put the jack somewhere now that it's out from under the seat.

Yes. My truck has Line-X and it was easy to drill into.
Just an FYI for anyone else considering this...make sure you get the Line-X sprayed before you install the Swingcase bracket. The Line-X is thick and will force the bolt holes to not line up if you try to do the bracket first.
I actually had to drill new holes and elongate a few holes on my first bracket because I got the Line-X a few months after the Swingcase box. The second box on the other side was added much later and was pretty straight forward.

I don't have any plywood to throw back there, but I'll measure when I get a chance. The boxes are easily removable though, so you could temporarily put them inside the truck while the bed is full.

I've looked into getting one of these but I from what I can see on the pics, does it take one of your tie-down mounts? I do haul stuff from time to time and I wouldn't want to give up one of my mounts since I don't have the bedrail ones. I've also seen people use it as a cooler (second reason why I wanted one) :P

Yes, you flip the rear tie downs over to clear the mounting bracket.
Once the boxes are installed though you cannot use the brackets as they are under the boxes... impossible to get to under the boxes. You can take them out and use the tie down tough...
What I do is wedge a bungee cord hook or strap between the hinges. I've used the loop for the lock but most of my bungee's are too large to fit through there. Works great for light straps, holding tarps and such....
