My Ford bed liner doesn't wrap around the side rails only the bulkhead so I think I should be ok. I think I can just push in the bed liner to get to the metal frame.

There are two issues: The plastic bedliner and the plastic rail caps which are not associated with each other. You may have no issues with the bedliner, but you are supposed to trim the plastic rail caps (a little bit).

Thanks, I did see in a you tube video that someone suggested trimming the plastic rail caps. Shouldn't take much. Maybe a 1/4 inch.

I just did a LUX install on my 2016 with a plastic drop in bed liner. Granted the liner does go under the top rail and not over the top rail on the sides, but does go over the front bulkhead.

I didn't need to trip anything, rather I simply adjusted the measurements from the MFG. If you reduce the measurements for the front and rear brackets to compensate for the thickness of the plastic liner there is no need for trimming. Somewhere between 3/8-1/2" of measurement can be reduced. Fit perfectly, no trimming and no leaks.

Who the heck at Undercover said you had to trim your liner like that?? You don't have to trim your that part of the liner for this install. If the liner is in the way of the front clamp, you can usually force the liner back enough to squeeze the clamp under the bed cap and hold it while you tighten it.
