workin for parts!!!
I never really ran the canned 87 tune much. I ordered Mpt's 87 with street shifting..I dont remember the actual difference between them..sorry. The Mpt's street is not harsh at all..maybe a little firmer than the Sct's.

Needing some help deciding on a tuner for my truck. I've read through the posts and see that a lot of people like using the SCT Livewire. But I am having some trouble deciding. I have a K&N 63 Series CAI on the engine and have also installed a Corsa Performance Cat-Back Exhaust System.
Still wanting that extra boost, and would also like to get better gas mileage as the truck is my daily driver.
I also do a some towing now and then, and would like to maintain the performance and power when towing.
Any suggestions or help?

SCT Livewire TS 2013 ECOBOOST
Definitely recommend the Livewire TS for and Ecoboost, they are custom preloaded tunes BUT theyre not ''canned'' they are adjustable in a variety of things and you can also call your SCT dealer and get them to rebuild your tunes due to adding any performance parts etc, and if you download LiveLink you can monitor everything top to bottom front to back of your rig on your laptop, run diagnostics, troubleshoot and trend a wide variety of things to know your next step in fine tuning your truck

I'm running the SCT X4. I have the three canned tunes from sct and 5 from Mike at 5star. I'm running the 93 octane race at the moment, throttle response is a hell of a lot better. Shifting is REALLY hard ( 1st to 2nd very stiff, other shifts are a little smoother). Don't waist your time with the economy tunes, I get much better fuel economy on performance/towing , with the rest of my mod's (afe exhaust + afe intake) I can take a 2014 5.7 tundra, which would leave me in the dust stock. 10/10 highly recommended.

I've got it, now what....
Greetings,
New EB owner, new poster. I've got a 2012 F150 EB Screw XLT. 73,000km and just got an SCT 3015 (unmarried with 5 unlocks) for $40. I've done my fair share of reading on the forums, and am likely to get a few custom tunes, but before that, i need to decide if i am going to try a canned tune before my manufacturers warranty is up. That's almost a year away, but i couldn't turn down a $300 tuner for $40. Now this thing is sitting in my garage, pretty much begging me to install it. I'd likely do just the 87(?) tune first. Should i wait? Or should i do it now? Has anyone had issues with a dealership if they had to go back?
Cheers

SCT X-Cal 2
Couldn't find the X-Cal 2 on the SCT website. Is that an older model?
