To the dirt mud and trees
To all off you looking for a tuner I'm not a rep but damn sct is awesome I had bully dog for two weeks and it was just sh|¥ I installed the sct and noticed the gain right away I don't know if the gains are what they are claimed to be but I'd say there close if not bang on (just by feel) and for the price there a steel I'm looking forward to ordering some custom tunes from mpt once I get a or downpipe

After much research and knowledge gathering, I resorted to the real thing and had my 2013 5.0 liter Lariat tuned by Protech Performance, Joe Ferraro and the guys in his shop are awesome. Put it on the Dyno afterwards and with the tune produced 305 HP at the wheels and the shift points are WAY better. No more shutting off at 100 MPH either. Already had true, cat back, Dynomax dual exhaust and K&N cold air charger installed, Mike M.

Custom Tuned
RES4CUE has clarified my statement, it is a "custom" tune, back and forth on the dyno until you've got what you're looking for. The SCT X4 was going to be my choice but it just turned out there was a performance shop in my neighborhood that was all about racing and Joe and his crew are awesome.

SCT x4 tuner
I'm running the SCT X4. I have the three canned tunes from sct and 5 from Mike at 5star. I'm running the 93 octane race at the moment, throttle response is a hell of a lot better. Shifting is REALLY hard ( 1st to 2nd very stiff, other shifts are a little smoother). Don't waist your time with the economy tunes, I get much better fuel economy on performance/towing , with the rest of my mod's (afe exhaust + afe intake) I can take a 2014 5.7 tundra, which would leave me in the dust stock. 10/10 highly recommended.
