I am looking for performance mods for 09 F-150 4.6L 3 valve engine. I have been told by one aftermarket installer he would only reccomend tuner chip and cold air intake. He also said going with Hi-Flow cats causes problems with emissions on computer. He added that throttle bodies/intake manifolds will not help. I am looking for documented specs on mods that work with this new 3 valve engineon SFE model.

I have Edge Evolution. Just installed, also have AEM CAI and Magnaflow catback SIDO.
I bought it primarily for the simplicity and readout. Have dyno shop nearby with their software that can do further tweaking if needed.
So far much of the programming isn't too drastic, but on a low speed kickdown to first gear, this really gets up and goes nice. No chirp of the tires, but you can hear a bit of chirp from the drive belt upon 1-2 shift. Nice and firm too.
I will be playing more with it as time goes by, definitely will be boosting shift firmness a bit more since it isn't that firm, but improved.

okay i bought an sct programmer from JMS in lucedale mississippi, he said it had 3 custom tunes. performance has such a hard shift that i was worried about it hurting my transmission. what is your shift firmness and WOT shift set on at 93 performance. i started running it on 89 tow/haul, seems to shift alot better. its an 07 screw FX4

SCT SF3 '01 5.4L I have it paired with dual exhaust and k&n intake. i didn't notice much of a difference at takeof but all the way up to 4000rpm it keeps pushing ya back in your seat when it used to slack of at 3000rpm. Really nice being able to change the shift stiffness.
