Essentially yes. The tuner flashes the ECU with a new software tune.

So in order to get your custom tunes or anything like that we have to purchase your own proprietary/made tuner? Not an SCT or Edge etc? is that what I'm understanding?

All that you have to do is click "Update Tuner", and that will send us your factory calibration. Once we get that info to our calibration department we will have your custom tuning files ready for you in 24-48 hours. Whenever your tunes are ready to put onto your handheld we will email you letting you know that you can plug your tuner back into your PC and update the tuner again. After that, just load your tune onto your car and have fun! My only additional advice would be to leave the tuner in the glove box or center console, to be safe. Hopefully this does NOT happen, but if the [insert teenager age here] is driving and texting happens to hit you the truck would have to make a trip to the dealer. The dealership cannot speak to a tuned ECM. So you always want to have the ability to flash back to stock for the convenience of your dealer. What year and variant of F150 do you have?

The biggest reason to choose our tuning is that we are completely independent. We use our own proprietary tuning software and MyCalibrator device for all our tuning. Having our own proprietary tuning software and hardware means that we have more control over what we can and ultimately will do. Our software allows us to have far more access to your ECU, and because we have more access our tuning files are much larger than most. This only shows that more of us goes into our tuning files VS the competition. We routinely invest in test vehicles both pre and post public release to ensure that we are offering the most responsible aftermarket support in the entire industry. There also is not another aftermarket vendor that has the corporate ties VIA their R&D and skunkworks for the big 3 domestic automakers and their performance divisions.

Every time I go to program or return to stock with my Livewire TS I have to put the battery charger to fully charge battery. Is this normal? I also had to do the same with my 2013 F150 when I had it.

2017 5.0 using Edge now and can't really tell a difference at all. Only running 87 or economy tunes. Do you have to run higher octane to gain anything in these gas motors?

You don't have to. Will you gain more power....Yes. I'm sure it got tuned and you making more. Best thing is to get a custom tune, but unless you have other mods gains are small.

Livernois 91 perf tune makes my 2016 coyote feel like my 2014 ecoboost power-wise. My eco got 15mpg on its best day & my 2016 coyote (not yet broken in) is already besting 17mpg....sounds awesome too...

Livernois very easy to work with

This is correct. Our MyCalibrator handheld is the device that we use for all custom tuning aspects.

Hi guys, I'm about ready to take the plunge for my first tune on my 2016 3.5L Ecoboost (soon to be EcoBEAST!). I'm trying to read as much as I can but it can get kinda overwhelming. I have a few questions.

Has anyone had significant failures as a result of a tune? If so how was it handled, i.e. did you reflash the factory tune or did the dealer honor warranty?

Has anyone bought extended tune warranties? I'm kinda thinking they're not worth it if your vehicle is under factory warranty and you can reflash it to factory. Thinking of getting the SCT from Stage 3. Thanks!
