That sounds about right. I got the internal light, key fob lock, drop down front window and that's about what I paid.

Have you thought of a small enclosed trailer? It would be more secure then a truck cap.

If I were to get a cap, I'd go with SnugTop. I think their products are the best looking hands down.

I usually get caps for my trucks, but decided this time to go with a peragon cover. Good luck with whatever you end up doing!

I have an A.R.E. and have had no security issues with it.
I'm not really that concerned with the $2 plastic locks on the sliding windows, because it's probably easier to shatter the glass than to get the plastic lock to pop.
This is my second truck with the A.R.E. style tops. No issues on the last one either.

I'm not worried about security as much weather protection, so the trailer isn't really necessary for me. I don't always have stuff in my bed, so it's mostly just to keep the weather out when I do.
