Default Those who installed their own Shock Sensors (Alarm)?

To the guys who installed their own truck alarms, where did you mount your shock sensor? I first mounted it on the metal bar that is under the steering wheel and had bad results then I removed the instrument cluster and mounted it against the main frame but with it turned to 7 on the dial I can knock lightly on the doors or front part of my truck but the bed or rear I have to bang extremely hard.

Where did you mount your shock sensor?
What setting do you have it on?

I'm probably going to grab a secondary shock sensor and mount it in the rear of the cab just wanted to get some feedback first.

I mounted it inside the passenger side kick panel.
Inside, I zip tied it to the main wire bundle.
As instruction said.
I don't think it was a good spot....
I'm thinking about adding another shock sensor to the back of the truck.
As soon as I figure out, how to do it.
