Does it come with a heat shield? And are you looking to save money?

Yeah, i was in the same boat a few months ago. I was about to go with a k&n, but my dad finally convinced me to get an off-brand one off of ebay. He has had one on his silverado for like 2 years and has been really satisfied with it. I am really happy with mine too, and glad because i saved a bunchhh of money off the k&n. It is actually like an exact copy of the AEM Brute Force CAI.

Mine was like $50 or $70 bucks, and i love it! I dont see how a piece of plastic/metal with a filter on the end could be worth $300 bucks ha ha. I could definatly feel the horsepower increase too.

id recommend against metal tubes. they heat soak, true performance gains will be increased with a composite or plastic tube

I bought one of the no-name kits off ebay for my old '02; worked fine but had a whistle, which drove me crazy . I ended up switching back to stock, then spent the extra money for a K&N kit. The K&N never whistled, and worked great.

The anwser to your question colton is yes. K&N makes the Summit FIPK, and filters too.
