Put a glasspack on it and save your ears.
You don't need to be loud to sound good.

I replaced my factory muffler with a glass pack 3yrs ago. So I "think" that means by now it's basically a straight pipe now, I think. It's not loud at all. Sounds good but could be louder. If I'm wrong maybe I can find out how to make it louder.

I have straight pipes on my 2009 5.4 and since two days after purchase and it is incredibly loud when you want it to be and somewhat tame when you need it to be. if you dont want to get looked at don't do it. but for a free exhaust system I love it. would just like it piped out the back and then id be happy.

The 4.6 is horribly loud with straight pipes! Oddly the 5.4 is not.... It's mildly louder than with that 100 pound monstrosity at idle but when ya floorboard the go pedal, the beast awakens and sounds magnificent!
The 4.6 is just steady loud.
Depends on what you're looking for but for me, the 4.6 in muffed was too much and I'm deaf as a post..... No ear drums!
