Talking Skid plate

Hey fellas, first post

I have recently started to explore modifications and upgrades for my 2011 FX4 F150 Ecoboost. I recently put a Fabtech 2" leveling kit on to gain clearance, with the ultimate goal of getting a 4" suspension lift after warranty expires. in the mean time the level will do.

Anyway, the reason i post here today is to get opinions and options for a skid plate. I would really like something that will cover the entire undercarriage up to the spare, but at the very least i would like to cover from my front axle back to my muffler. I just got quoted $500 dollars to replace the skid beneath the front row of seats which got stripped off whilst hunting. So logically i would like any option to be cheaper than strapping that sorry excuse for protection back on. I can do installs myself as i am mechanical as well as a few of my friends.

Thanks for any help,
Techasn

What did you rip her off against?

How much weight do you want down there?

Check this guy out. I bought a front skid from him. It's heavy duty and reasonably priced. And he's making more to cover more undercarriage.

got ripped off against an old mesquite stump i didn't see. lesson learned but if i have to replace a patchwork job, i figured might as well do it right.

As far as weight, not terribly concerned about it.

looks good i shot him a PM about those.
