Yup - you can do that. When you are ordering your tune, tell them you have the x4. You will only pay for the files they send. Once they send, you just load them to the x4 via laptop.

One other thing I've learned... When I pug the tuner in, it reads my 6.2 as "F150 5.0".

I'm not so sure I want a stock 5.0 tune in my 6.2?

I think I'll end up keeping this unit and find a tune source online.

best thing you could do is find a performance shop with a dyno that tunes with SCT

Decided to just bite the bullet and purchase three tunes from MPT. I'm done screwing around with it.

Can't go wrong with them, I have a couple of their tunes and love em both. 5* also makes some really good tunes, just not as aggressive as MPT.
