Yes, this is a direct injection motor and we don't have fuel injectors spraying the backsides of our intake valves off to keep them clean, but this isn't a race motor with loose rings and 20+ pounds of boost creating excessive blowby necessitating a catch can.

Yes, that **** looks like ****, but it's not hurting your motor.

Thanks for your opinion. I'm glad that you know my truck better than me and feel that I do not understand statistical analysis or placebo effect.

I can say that statistically I have better gas mileage and improved idle on my ecoboost. However, that is not why I purchased the can. I purchased it to reduce the rising oil problem, help with shudder and protect the valve necks from buildup.

Why dont you head over to the lift kit forum. I don't see you over there moaning about these guys nosediving their gas mileage by dropping THOUSANDS of dollars on useless lift kits and massive tires for rigs that never go offroad? Instead you'd rather spew ignorance on a $300 catch can that helps an engine burn cleaner? Give me a break.leave the OP alone.

I didn't see any knowledge from your post, and I'm the one spewing ignorance? I'm trying to educate the guy who doesn't even know what non-existant problem he is or isn't trying to fix with this thing.

A catch can is not going to help you with a "rising oil problem". If your oil is rising, it's caused by fuel dilution which is an issue a catch can is not even remotely designed to address. The fluid that this catch can is catching is on it's way to being completely combusted and will not even come close to entering your oilpan...

the gas/oil-water mix? I wouldn't want that stuff going into my EB if I had one.... Even if it doesnt address the bigger problem. Maybe the OP can't prove that the separator addresses the main problem, but you can't prove that what the separator catches is inconsequential to the motor over the long run.

Bravo. Someone sees through the sales pitch.

And don't forget a catch can will prevent condensation in the CAC. That was a good one too...

looking good, I had the first few batch when it just came out, looks like they have changed up the oil cap section, need to look into this as my old one is leaky....
