Not sure if the new ones have them but know I only swaped out the muffler and added the second pipe.

My 09 SRT8 had them and I had them removed with the same setup and it was loud without them.

And just as a note some states require them.
Another question about the resonators what's the purpose of them is it just more emissions crap? I'm looking for a little more rumble on a budget

In simple terms, it helps reduce noises in the muffler system. Remove the resinators and you get a loader sound then add a performance muffler and it will give you depending on the type of sound you are looking for.

I deleted the resinators off my 09 SRT8 and added the 40's and it sound amazing.

With that stated it wasn't under warranty and SC doesn't have emissions test so I only did the muffler on my truck to keep it in warranty.

So should I wait for the warranty to be up? I live in MA and they do emissions testing so I'll probably do nothing to the exhaust thanks for all your input

I know that some will swap out the exhaust during the test and reinstall the mod one after.

I would probably just swap out the muffler and make sure it won't mess with your warranty and emissions.

Glad to help

I'm in MA and haven't had an issue with emissions or inspections or anything (Borla ATAK with resonator delete). Exhaust mods are one of the most popular mods, so they're not really a big deal. Just don't touch the cats and you should be fine here in MA. I'd say everything else is fair game.

I'm down in Norfolk county.

Not sure how much sound you'd get after just the resonator delete, but it might satisfy your needs... for now. Probably some videos out there on YouTube of resonator deleted with stock exhaust. All it really is is just slapping a pipe on there in it's place. Personally I'd just get a muffler and do it at the same time since you're gunna be in that area anyways.
