Default Recon Extreme Tailgate Light Bar

Ok so I pruchased one of Recon's "extreme" led tailgate bars for my 2005 F-150 supercrew on Friday. First of all I know nothing about wiring which is why it probably took like 5 hours to wire everything up. Also the instructions werent even for the specific model I purchased and definately not the vehicle I own. Through trial and error I fugured out all the wiring and I also went ahead and hardwired the wires into the trailer wiring so it looks clean and out of the way. I can now say that I know exactly how to wire it up if you ever need help let me know . Product looks and works great and pictures are probably coming tonite .

Did you purchase the 60 or the 49 inch version?

I bought the 60" and it still isnt as wide as the tailgate, 49" would not be an option for our trucks

You don't have to hardwire it. It comes with a 4 pin harness. However some of us like a clean install without a wire hanging out from our bumper going to the 4 pin trailer connector.

makes sense, I figured that's how they did it. wonder if hoppy made a inline adaptor. I am not a fan of splicing wires back there. ( I live in Wisconsin where they use massive ammounts of salt)

I took some pictures and honestly they turned out like **** so I posted the video from recon. Just picture it on the back of a black f150 and not a silverado.
