Hey guys, thanks for all the posts and help! It's really appreciated. I just recently finished painting ALL of the chrome that was on my truck this week and will be posting some pictures tonight

One more piece of advice after watching my video again would be to try to get the grill off if you can to do the dip. Reason being, if you can coat all the way around corners and edges you will get a much better hold and it will be much less likely to peel or bubble on you.

As promised, here's some pictures of my progress so far If anyone is wondering about the lights, I used VHT nightshades on them, still haven't clear coated them, still debating on whether I should or not. I kind of like the look of a flat matte tail light lol. Excuse the dirt on the bumpers in a few pics, didn't have time to clean it.

Ski Bum
From my experience on my old Taurus, if you do NOT clear coat over the VHT tint, it will crack and look like shattered particles after about 18ish months. Just a heads up

Tyler, I just finished my truck, I changed over to the black and white theme too. I painted everything rustoleum protective enamel . The key to painting over everything , especially chrome, for me was to use self etching primer before paint. I want to know how yours turned out ?
