Performance chip vs. performance tuner
What is the difference between a performance chip, and a flash programmer?
From what I see they do essentially the same job from the sales literature.
Thanks for your input.

Tuners can give you custom programming. Custom tuners that is. Not like Hyperjunk or Superchumps. If you are going to spend your money do it right teh 1st time.

Correct but if you can use a hand held programmer thats the way to go!! If you go get a dyno tune with a chip and you want to replace some different parts then you are on your way back to the dyno for another reburn. If you get the hand held programmer you can go get a dyno tune and usually if they are good tuners they can send you a custom tune through email if you ever want to change something. To me it sounds like a better deal. I have a 88 mustang so I cant get a hand held programmer like your talking about I had a PMS (piggy back computer) witch did pretty much exact same thing. Now I have a diablosport chip with Bob Kurgan tune!! Very satisfied and like what was stated above Hypertech and Superchips are junk and a waste of money and time. If you want to go that route bump your timing to 16 or 17 and run 93 oct. and get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump up your pressure. Hope this helps!
