Hey guys, first post here. Just got my 08 F150 yesterday. I am doing this all backwards! I already ordered the oringinal 40 flowmaster for the truck but was a toss up between that and the super 40. Any opinions on the two mufflers would be great! Would you guys have went with the super, or original? YouTube was a help!

I had 40's on my 5.0 mustang, sound mean as hell. and super 40's on my 5.4 as well as my 473 and IMO they sound mean on the big block and I hate them on my 5.4. hope that helps

Regular 40 series sounds better IMO on our trucks.

I just got the super 40 havnt had time to put it on due to broken arm. sigh sounds that bad on a 5.4? even with dual?

hey thanks guys. so far i didnt regret my decision. i am going to try and post a video of the truck now, and then after i install the flowmaster on youtube. When i post them, i'll let you guys know. Thanks again for the info!

depends on what your into, I wanna get rid of them cuz they hum all the time. i like exhaust that isnt intrusive unless your WOT

I wouldn't go with the Super 40's. When I got mine installed the tech explained how Flowmaster is only making them for a limited time. He highly recommend the 40 series over the super 40 series for our trucks.

oh didnt know that i just asked the guy what the deeest sounding muffler was. I was looking at borla but the price was right for the s40. my old one may have been oringinal 40 it was too rusted to tell lol. Ill get a vid with my s40 on once i get my cracked manifolds off sigh afraid im going to have to drill em
