Default New truck old tonneau cover put on by dealership

Just purchased a new 2017 Magnetic Lariat. The dealership was supposed to have the Ford advantage trifold soft tonneau (the one with the Ford oval on it), they "forgot" and picked my truck up today and returned it tonight in the dark with one on... Only problem it was definitely used, it appears to be from a 2014. It has a corner that is broken, rips starting at the fold points, it also does NOT seem to have the two metal clamps at the front of the box to secure it to the box frame. (My 2011 Raptor had the same tonneau, and it had clamps securing it to the box). My question is do the new 2017 FORD soft trifold tops BY advantage still secure in same manner? Or is there no longer clamps? Last thing I want is this to fly off while I'm on the highway. Thanks for any insight.

no matter if it has the clips or not that is definitely a used cover. i'd make them pick up the truck and install a new one as fast as i could.

I did, and they did replace it with a brand new genuine Ford soft fold tonneau cover. Different from the Advantage one I had on my Raptor, but very nice.

Do you have any pics of the new cover?
Have ya had any trouble with leaks? How does it fit?
I just got a extang 2.0 for my 2017 and it fits horrible and leaks.
I was thinking of taking the extang back and ordering the advantage/ ford.

Default New ford soft tonneau

Hey folks,
here are some pics of the new soft cover tonneau offered through FOMOCO.

I'm not sure if its by Advantage any longer, as I could not see any signage to confirm. It is definitely a different size from the ones offered prior to 2014.

New spring loaded clamps to close the tonneau at the back gate. Seems water tight. It doesnt cover the back tailgate completely, as the top of the gate is no longer rectangular.

Thanks for the help, looks like it fits much better than mine.
Good luck with it and enjoy the truck!

If it has spring loaded latches, it's an Extang Trifecta or a rebadged Extang Trifecta.
