Default N-Fabs in Cold Weather States?

New 2015 SuperCrew shortbed owner here and I'm looking to add running boards or step bars. I really like the look of the N-FAB steps and like that you can get them in matte black.

Is there anyone out there with feedback in how they hold up in colder climates? I live in Buffalo - translation snow.

Also, any suggestions on where to get a good black friday/cyber monday deal on these?

Thanks.

Well, after doing a bit of research, it seems that they do not hold up well. Also, I'm told the bigger step areas are more ideal with snow and ice to prevent slipping. Since my wife will be using the truck as well as myself, I think I'll go with something more practical.

Still, I like the look of the N-Fabs quite a bit.

You may not like the look, but stainless steel is going to work better than mild steel. NFab does make polished stainless steel steps.

Have you seen the Amp power steps? They are not your ordinary side steps though they are a bit pricey.

This, these are great! Yes they are 3x as much but you get 3x more use out of them!

I have a set for sale if interested that should fit. I bought a 2012 crew cab short bed that had a brand new set on it. I'm just not a big fan of them and looking to get a new set of my preference. Priced well under list

So I was always planning on getting nerf bars until I came out of work one day to see my coworker let their car door go into my truck... my running board saved the day. From that point on, I am 100% sure of keeping them forever! Food for thought
