Method wheel center cap mod
Recently received Method NV Wheels for my Ford F-150 and was immediately disappointed with the look and quality of the center cap. I looked into the billet caps vince7870 over on the raptor forum makes but these would not work for my bore or wheel thickness. I then got the idea of adapting the method roost center cap to the NV. Turns out this was very simple.
I went to Methods webpage, into their parts list and ordered the roost center cap that matched my wheel lug, spacing and center bore. The caps came with the 5M x.08 bolts and even a wrench. Cost was $140 shipped.
Installation was pretty simple just layout drill and tap. This took 20-30 minutes a wheel.
The roost cap will work on other Method wheels where the face is flat around the lug holes. Mesh for sure, I didn't look at the other styles close enough.
Method should manufacture them this way.
Cap provided
Layout
Pilot holes drilled
Threads tapped
Cap bolted up

Nice work, those rims look sick with your new caps. You're right - should have been that way from the start!
Just a quick question - did you have to tap threads into the rim to get the caps to work, or just bolt 'em through?
Love the aggressive look of your ride!

Yes, pilot drilled first then drilled to correct size and tapped. The holes only went into the rim to the required depth needed to accommodate the length of the bolts.
