Magnaflow Tru-X on the new F150 5.0L
Looking at exhaust options, the Magnaflows seem to have a good deep tone. The setup I am considering is a true dual into the Magnaflow Tru-X muffler then out the back. Had a recommended 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipe with duals.
Does anyone have a similar setup? If so what is your opinion of the sound quality, good deep tone with little rasp? Cab noise, etc? This setup has been mentioned in a few posts but no in depth reviews.
Thanks in advance!

hey man...i just put magnaflow on my 14" 5.0
my setup:
Resonator delete, 3 " tubing back to a Magnaflow SI/DO 14" (3" in / dual 2.5" out)
then 2.5" tubing out the back to 3" rolled stainless tips.
man it sounds good! real deep...opens up good when you romp on it.
but yet if you wanna just cruise its not annoying loud...but you always know its there

Well, this isn't on my truck, it's on my '94 T'bird 4.6 V8. I just replaced the exhaust with a complete 2 1/2" Mandrel exhaust system. I got the Magnaflow High flow cats and resonated X-pipe. I guess that's the True-X you're talking about? Can't remember at the moment what it's actually called. Then dual pipes back to the mufflers. I got the DynoMax VT mufflers. The ones that are suppose to have the valve in it. It's suppose to open up the muffler when it senses more exhaust pressure. The theory I guess is it's suppose to be quite when you cruise, then when you tramp on her open up with better flow and sound. I hate the sound! Of course it just may be the nature of the 4.6 in the T'bird. At idle it's barely louder than stock, and not much more when I open her up. It sounds "Tinny", or "Metally" if that makes any sense. I'm thinking if I had went with a regular X-pipe instead of the resonated one, it may of sounded better. Before I had a custom dual set up on it with Dynomax Bullets, it sounded nice. But was old and rusting away.
