Premium is uv protection against fading, that's it.

Ok thank you, might be going with the standard then and putting the extra money towards a tonneau cover.

Premium is a darker black and thus looks better in black trucks, it's more stain resistant, and it's easier to clean.

I'm not aware of any other benefits besides resistance to fading, no. The hilarious thing is that I never even thought about it not fading since I'd have the cover on it until you just mentioned it.

Digging up old thread, did You use the bulkhead rubber strip when installing the bakflip? I'm wondering how well it sticks to the line-x, also the fact that they say not to use it with drop in liners. Surprised they don't mention spray in as it's so popular

The problem with drop-ins is that drop-ins go over the bulkhead (area behind the back window) and do not fit well in that area. So, the Bakflip will end up being pushed up by the drop-in in that area. You either should cut off that portion of the drop-in bedliner or don't use one at all.

Right, I understand that. My question is with line-x. It is on that area as well, as far as I know. One would think it's not going to stick or fit well in that area either.

dont have a drop-in, was merely using that as example of different install method and why bakflip doesn't reference what to do in terms of a spray in bed liner, if they address drop in

Just thinking: Instead of sticking the seal to the LINE-X, can you flip the seal upside down and stick it to the cover?

I'm not sure as I don't have the line-x or cover yet...that's why I'm asking the OP who already has both on his truck what he did
