Thanks!
It's either the OEM spray on bedliner which the dealer does NOT install or it's an aftermarket bedliner and it could be ANYTHING. You should ask the dealer what brand it is if it's an aftermarket bedliner.

Its on my window sticker.... ordered OEM... so what "brand" does Ford use? Sorry if this is a silly question.

The company that sprays the bedliner for Ford is Ground Effects, Ltd. (GFX) who you can find on the web if you search. LINE-X bought GFX a few years ago, but due to contracts that were already in place, the bedliner is a product by Ultimate Linings, not LINE-X. Here's the problem with the OEM bedliner:
1. It's only about 65 mils thick which is thinner that most aftermarket bedliners.
2. It's an aromatic bedliner product meaning it is not UV stable and will fade over time.
3. If you need a repair, the dealership can only fix small spots, like dime-sized or less. Otherwise, it has to go to an aftermarket bedliner company for the repair.
4. You get a 3 yr/36K mile warranty. Most aftermarket bedliner companies give you a lifetime warranty.
5. It's sprayed over everything like the bed bolts and tie downs which is not as nice looking as not spraying those things.

I was told to "take it easy" for 24 hours before throwing anything heavier in the bed. I asked if it was ok to wash it and they weren't against it. I don't think rain would bother it much as a result. Nothing to do with washing/raining, but they suggest leaving your tailgate down if possible for 24 hours. Might help it breathe in the spots where the tailgate meets the end of the bed and stuff.

As far as the wheel wells, I bought a can of 3M undercoating and sprayed the rear wheel wells. Was like $12. Very messy and smells when wet, but they looked fine when dry. I put the plastic wheel well liners on afterwards. The Line-X might look nicer in the wheel wells and may be more durable, but since I put wheel well liners on to get rid of the frame gap, there was no way I was paying for Line-X there.

I have an 8 foot bed on my new truck. Line X and Rhino was $600+ for the basic stuff at four different places in the metro area I live in. I finally found a guy in a small shop about 40 miles away to do the Line X for $550. That seemed reasonable for the long bed.

Got line x in my f150 screw 15 years ago. The stuff is still there doing its job. I wouldn't use anything else. I think I paid about 450 for it so pricing today is pretty cheap considering how much things cost today compared to 15 years ago.

Platinum is probably the best you can get.

I just got mine sprayed in today. It turned out great. It was included as part of my contract even though it was not on the sticker. I just bought my truck a week ago and made it part of the deal. I got Line-X paperwork but haven't read it yet.
