Leveling Kits FAQ
#472
I've gone through almost all of these pages and see that there is some concern on the 2011 FX2 about a front end clunk to do with steering and not disconnecting battery before suspension work. Is there one version or style versus another that would make this problem less likely. Putting 285/60/18 on some ultra rims and would like to level front end. Money is really not a problem. If shocks would be significantly better then that's what I'd do; any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
I decided on the bilsteins, so should I go with 1.75 or 2" setting, thanks.
PS- Thanks for all the feedback.

Bilstein shocks
Installed the Bilsteinshocks at the 1.3/4 setting not the full 2.25, I've experienced no difference pre-install concerning ride, suspension or gas mileage. The rake is approx 1/2 lower than rear with full 36 gallons of gas. I personally get around 20 mpg on the highway on rare occasions 21mpg. However when towing my 22 ft boat i do notice that my rear is lower than my front by approx 3/4 of inch. I am satisfied with that, as this isn't a daily hauler.

I had 2" Motofab front kit installed. Truck had 3" rake. Now has 1" rake. Raised it 2" maybe hair over. Alignment was off so took it today and had aligned. Tow was slightly off on one side. It definetly looks level. Here's a before pic.

Leveling kit problems
Hi, new to this site and need some help.
I just had a 2"Motofab leveling kit installed on my 2013 f150 and now I have horrible road noise, sounds like I have mudders in my truck. I have stock 20's.
Any ideas?? Very frustrated, ready to have the kit pulled off.
