Leveling Kits FAQ

Anyone have input on adding a 2.5" front 1.5" rear motofab kit, and using my stock 20" rims putting on 275/65r20 K02's? If it aint going to work il stick with going to 60r20

Alright guys, I had a Rancho quick lift on my 13 F150 and loved it, but apparently they have not made one for the 16. I see a lot of comments about the Bilatein 5100 shocks. Does anyone have a part number, so I can order a set for the front. I would like the ones that can be adjusted.

Has anyone put a Rancho quick lift on their 2016 F150. I spoke to Rancho and they gave me part numbers on a 15, but they say they have not evaluated the 16 yet?

My Bilstein 5100 Experience
Went round and round before finally making a decision on how to level my 2013 F150 SuperCrew 4WD.
Finally decided to go with the Bilstein 5100's. Had a local shop install them at the 1.75" ride height, which leveled it perfectly. As expected, the ride is definitely stiffer than stock. When you compress a spring, the rebound of the spring is much more accelerated, thereby offering a stiffer, more jarring ride. It actually feels/rides like a real truck now.
Before installing the leveling shocks, the stock rake set my truck level when I hooked up my boat trailer (5000 lbs). With the truck now level with the leveling shocks, the boat trailer put my rear end several inches below level. Not a big fan of that, since it makes steering and braking more unstable. I added air bag suspension kit to the rear, and with about 50 PSI in the bags the truck is level when towing my boat.
Regardless of the front leveling kit you choose (leveling shocks, spacers, coil spacers), I would recommend adding blocks or bags to the rear, if you will be towing. Air bag suspension gives you the most flexibility, as you can add or release air pressure to adjust the rear end height.
FYI, the rear airbag suspension kits are easy to install, and not very expensive.

I've looked through here and can't seem to find any info, I put the Tuff Country 2" level on my truck last night. I haven't got it aligned yet, and at full lock both right and left, going forward, I'm getting a ticking/light clanking noise from the passenger front. If I get out and push up on the fender I can sometimes get it to do it too, anyone had any issues like this? Either with Tuff Country or another brand? I am hoping/expecting the alignment I have scheduled will correct this.

I put the Rancho Quick lift on my 16 Lariat and love it. I went from 36 3/4 to 40 1/2 after the leveling kit and,a set of BFG KO2 tires in 34x12.5X18. Nothing done to the back and they the tuck sits exactly level.
