leveling kit or lift kit
Hey guys. This is my Fx4. I was debating on getting a 2.5 leveling kit with the same tires or a 6 inch lift with 35s. Which one will be the best look. Thanks.

Both look great just depends on how much you wanna spend. I have had both and if money isn't a issue go with a lift ;-)
Just remember. Once you lift it it's not gonna be high enough. They look big at first then they start to shrink. My 03 with 11"ish of lift with 38s seamed small.

Money plays a huge factor obviously, since there's a big $ difference between the two. If you keep your truck on pavement 24/7 and you just want to fit tires and look level, a leveling kit will give you all you need (AS or autospring makes great kits, really good reviews from users of this forum)
Since you have an FX4 (and hopefully a sense of adventure), I'm assuming you take it offroad a little bit. In that case, a suspension lift is your best bet. You get so much more clearance and can fit much bigger tires that can handle mud and dirt.
Even if you don't do too much offroading, a lift kit may still be a great choice if you can dish out the cash. Like Z7 said, if you get the level, you very well could look at your truck in a couple months and wish it was lifted higher.

Lift It!
Did a 4" Rough Country lift with 20x10, 34x11 tires and couldn't be happier with the aggressive look keeping the vehicle right under 7' tall. Have roughly 4800 in that alone. After the pic installed the Ford oem smooth fender flares, had local dealer PTM them.

Leveling Kit - Front and Back
For looks only, it comes straight down to bank. But, you should be able to run basic all terrain 35's with a 3" leveling kit that lifts front and back, like RNL's, without having to trim or cut. These leveling kits lift front and back in proportion to level. All in, if you have some DIY skills, a quality leveling lift kit with rear blocks is a couple of hundred and can be installed in an afternoon
