Default Husky underseat storage doesn't work with 2016 XL Scab

I bought a Husky underseat storage unit for my new 2016 Scab. There are two straps that are suppose to loop around "seat bracket cross bars" according to the instructions. Well there ARE NO such cross bars in the 2016 Supercab. I ordered exactly the recommended unit and received one exactly like is in the pictures. Label also says 2015 F150 Supercab.

But, there is no place to loop these tie down straps to. WTH?

42 views. Has no one else had this problem? Do any of you have that cross bar on you rear seat brackets?

That's strange. The brackets have the holes for the screws/bolts.
I wonder if they're available For order.

Husky should clarify this in their website and say "not compatible with XL."

Maybe there's a work around. Or I'll have to return this and order from a different company.

I bought 5 2015 XL work trucks this year and not one of them had the bars.
My Wifes 2016 XLT has the bars.
Kept one of them returned 4 of them and husky said I was crazy they had not run into this

Why would they put these bars on one truck and not another? I don't know what the purpose of these bars are to be honest. I don't think they are holding anything in/etc... You could always just drill into the floor of your truck with a screw to secure it (and honestly it'll be better then the strap they give you, im NOT a fan of the straps)

My sales guy said he's never seen one without the cross brace. He's going to check in it for me. I'm not a fan of drilling into the floor. What I have done, for a temporary fix, is to place a thick dowel/cut broom handle behind the seat bracket and wrap the strap around that. When the strap is tight, both the dowel and the gear box are held snugly in place.
Not perfect but really secure.
Hopefully, sales guy will come through with a brace or maybe I can find one at a wrecker yard.

My sales guy just called and said they don't come on the XL. He's going to talk to his parts dept and see what one would cost. They serve a purpose in that they create a space under the seat for storage. The bar acts like a fence. And the Husky gear boxes are built to attach to that crossbar. With the gearbox installed, you'd have two storage areas under the seat. But without that cross bar you can't attach the Husky gearbox.
Husky should be more aware of the models they are selling accessories for.

When I bought my 16 super crew xlt, based on the photos on Ford's website, both the sales manager and I thought it was a tray and they threw it iis part number FL3Z78115A00-AA, at least for the supercrew. It comes with a plate for each frame 60/40 and the bolts. I can't return it since I never paid for it. Just sitting in the box.

That would be a good deal. I think I'm set now. My sales guy ordered that flat, crossbar for me. The two piece 60/40 plates. Cost about $30. I picked it up yesterday. It didn't come with the bolts so he order the bolts for me. I hope to get my Husky gearbox attached properly soon.

Any XL owners who want the Husky Gearbox for storage under the back seat, you can order than missing seat bracket cross bar pretty cheaply.
