How to install Westin Nerf bars on a 2007 F150 Supercrew FX4
I price shopped Nerf Bars for my 2007 F150 Supercrew just about everywhere. I ordered the platinum chrome Westin Nerf bars from TruckChamp.com because of the low price, free shipping and fast delivery time. The platinum chrome finish is guaranteed for life and the hardware is rust resistant. The Westin Nerf bars also stick out a few more inches and provide some side protection from car doors in parking lots. Truck Champ has a deal worked out with FedEx for 3-5 day delivery. The other vendors ship via freight and they charge up to 150 dollars and with a 4-5 week delivery time. I also suggest paying for the shipping insurance; you never know what will happen!
The box will measure 88”x18”x 5”. Check the contents of the inside accessory box immediately by inserting all hardware into the holes and look for missing pieces. I was missing the double bolt plates and Truck champ had Westin overnight the pieces to me. The installation instruction diagrams are not the greatest.
Starting with the driver’s side, assemble the rear bracket pieces. Use the delivery box to pad your work area and protect your parts. I lined them up directly under where they are to mount. Finger tighten all bolts, and check for good play, you only will have about 1 inch of play.
Clean the surface areas
Remove the Ford factory tape covers from the holes
Prepare to insert the double bolt plate

Part 2 continued
Place the rear Nerf bar bolt in the hole
Assemble the front bracket pieces. I lined them up directly under where they are to mount. The front bracket uses a single bolt plate
Insert the 2 bolt clips in the rectangular opening and check to see if the bolts screw in without difficulty, then remove the bolts.
Insert the double bolt plate with the short end towards the Front of the vehicle

Part 3
Insert the two bolts back into the 2 bolt clips
Now insert the 2 bottom most bolts
A better view of the 2 bottom most bolts
Place the front Nerf bar bolt in the hole
Protect the bar as well as the paint finish of your truck!
Start with the rear, attach the Nerf Bar and rear bolt, tighten with minimal play. I had to start using a wrench here to get to minimal play.
The front bar should be able to drop to ground
Attach Nerf Bar to the front bracket; All brackets should slide until you have the final Nerf Bar hole lined up.
Now it’s time to start wrenching down all of the hardware, Wrench down the front Nerf Bar bolt.

Part 4 of 4
Wrench down the rear Nerf bolt
Wrench down all of the bolts!
One side of the project completed!
Note the vehicle side protection from car doors in parking lots!
Let me know if I can answer any questions that you might have!

I have been looking for nerf bars that extend farther out like these.
I looked on Westin.com and thay have installation instructions but no reference as to how far they extend out. This is just waht I was looking for.
The Installation instructions are a little differant, but very informative.
Have you ever heard of the PMX Brand?

Thanks for this write up! As stated, just what I was looking for!
My local store has nerf bars for my Lincoln LT priced at $369.00. Add $35.00 for installation. Not sure what brand though. I think I could this job.
