Thanks for the posts above, guys. I was leaning towards the Borla S Type catback kit for quite some time, but now I am really leaning towards the Corsa Sport kit: http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...7A3886547.aspx

I don't really want the dual tips out the rear and I love the black tips option for this kit. I hear good things about this one. Anyone have experience with it?

I know its not a very good comparison, but a buddy has the S-type on his Chevy Avalanche and it sounds great, a little throatier than the Borla at idle and low rpms for sure. I don't think you can go wrong with either!

Hey there nmact, your buddy has the Borla kit on his Avalance? Or the Corsa Sport one? Sorry, just got a little confused.

Anyone have any experience between the Borla S-Type vs. Corsa Sport catbacks? I am very close to possibility pulling the trigger on one.

You might want to take a look at this thread:

https://www.f150forum.com/f38/pullin...xhaust-244687/

Tmurphy11 put a clip up at post #41. I have the same kit, the Corsa DB on my 5.0 and really like it. Deeper growl but absolutely no drone in the cab. Exhaust sound is a bit of a personal thing. What one likes, the next person may not care for. Many of the sound clips really don't portray very well what the systems actually sound like but about all you can do is listen to as many as possible and take your best shot.

Hey thanks for the comments, newsnose.

Yes I am active on that one thread and it has been very beneficial. I know that the Corsa DB is supposed to be basically the same kit as the Corsa Sport, just one is using 304 stainless, I believe and have a different tip configuration. They should sound very similar.

Let me ask you a question in regards to the cold start up/poppy note that happens with this exhaust. Would you say that it is annoying and overbearing? Or is it really not that bad? In that other thread the video I was watching made it sound a little too poppy and I am slightly concerned.

Honestly, I've never even noticed it when driving. I very seldom floor it except when passing on two-lane roads but I do drive with my driver side window down about 1/4 way and the radio on.
I think it's much more noticeable at a stop with engine rev over a certain rpm. I've just never noticed it while under load.
Corsa does make a quality kit. If you go with it, I hope you like it as much as I do mine.

If you haven't already found it, Stage3Motorsports has a thread of the different exhaust with video's. Everything I've seen on here, you can't go wrong buying from Tom at AutoAnything or Stage 3. Both companies have taken care of members here regularly.

Thanks everyone for all your help here. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on a new Corsa sport exhaust catback system from AutoAnything.com (thanks for the deal, Tom!). Looking forward to getting it in a couple weeks. Went with the model number 14393blk. So it will have the black tips! Can't wait!!
