Hopefully thay works. I wouldn't buy from CrazeFPV, but that's because I had a not so good experience from them and had to send it back. You can also order everything from SpyTec.com

No problem. There are lots of options out there, I'm a minimalist so it works for me. You can also check out DashCamTalk.com (I think that's the site) where they compare lots of different brands.

[QUOTE=FerdinandF150;4604867]Here a couple of videos from the camera while in use in my other cars.

Night:

Wow, I got t-boned in this exact intersection in 2002 by someone running the exact light. I go back to Charleston occasionally to work in our office in West Ashley and the traffic is insane. People run lights down there like they're merely suggestions.

I haven't lived here very long; 5 years ish and it's gotten 10x worse. I use to save all the red light runner videos, but found myself with dozens of the same video. Now I only save them in cases such as above.

Just updating some threads: Both Mobius cams are going good. Experienced some minor malfunctions when the temp was in the teens, but after the car warms up (and the camera too) everything worked. I've had both cams for over a year.

Hey Ferdinand, hope all is well with your case. I was in a pretty serious motorcycle accident several months ago and we are still dealing with this case. Long story short, too few witnesses with ever-changing stories (not to mention statements were requested from them over a month after the incident, they won't remember the details). At the end of the day, without divulging too much info with an ongoing case, I will say that a helmet camera would have literally saved me somewhere in the neighborhood of $50k. The incident itself really was that clear cut, but without a video, there are several things that "could have happened."

Funny enough, the very week of the accident, I was contemplating ordering a camera and put it off because I had just spent so much money on a few upgrades. Ironic, huh?

I know that most people assume that insurance will sort itself out, but it is not always the case. Usually, people who say stuff like that have either been in too many accidents (probably some of which were their fault) to care... or simply not enough to understand. Most also do not realize the value of a dash camera--I can almost guarantee you that it will eventually, sadly, pay itself off. If all responsible drivers had a dash camera, justice in our country could be properly preserved. Even if the victim in an accident doesn't have one, and you as a witness take the time to stop, you may just save someone from losing their home or family's wellbeing. I'm a huge advocate of dash cameras for a variety of reason, and I really hope that this forum will push just a few more people to become the same without needing to have our experience to understand!

Thanks for the thread!

I sure hope you're doing alright, especially being on a Motorcycle whilst in an accident. It can be brutal.

While I'm all about a good deal, even a cheap $10-$20 ebay find is better than nothing, though I'd rather save my money and get something more reliable. The Mobius makes for a great helmet cam - how it mounts is all in which mount you buy. It just uses a standard 1/4 camera mounting hole and you can buy GoPro helmet bases etc. Even a handle bar mount if you don't want to wear it.

A guy hit me 2 years ago and the case is still open and going to arbitration, it can take all too long for these things to get settled.

That last accident I had a dash cam....in my other car! I was testing out the Mobius to see if I liked the setup.

I think the cost; $100-$140 (depending on mounting options) is well worth the protection. I'm always happy to answer questions and try to help with install issues because I think it will be beneficial for so many people.

All is well now (physically)! And I completely agree, it's good to have something. In truth, though, dash cams are not that expensive. And for having your dash cam in your other car, I am sorry to hear that! Some things happen at crazy times when it's least expected.

Thanks for posting. My plan is to run a dash cam (DOD RX7) along with a radar detector (Valentine 1), connecting them parallel to position 35 in the fuse box would be ok

I would definitely use a test light for whatever fuse spot you pick. It's good to know if the fuse is live even when the vehicle is off, some folks run their cam 24/7.

Also make sure you plug the add a fuse in correctly, so when the fuse blows it doesn't still supply power.
