Deer Guard
I'm wondering what would be a good investment for my new to me 2015. I live in southern Ohio and work nights. If I don't see 3 deer on the way home at 4am I'm surprised.
I'd like to invest in some reasonable amount of protection. I haven't hit one in about 12 years but around here it can happen to anyone at anytime.
Love the look of just a bull bar but I see that most probably aren't strong enough to protect much. I kind of want to keep my look understated though so don't want a big bumper/grill all in one. I'd like to atleast have good center protection to protect my radiator from getting smashed in.
I'm looking hard at the "AMI Swing Step Grille Guard". Looks like the ones you see on sheriff cars. It looks like good center protection and has the nice swing down step. It's not the exact look I'd want but I have a $1000 deductible on insurance so who cares?
Anyway, I'm just searching all options and thought it'd be a good idea to ask what you all have to say. Any advice is very appreciated.

I think you'd do better by buying LED headlights to see the critters better. I personally don't think a grill guard will help much and it might even cause damage to more of the front end if you hit something. I hit a big buck and I'm pretty sure a grill guard would just have spread the damage to more of the front end, rather than being limited to the section that impacted the deer.
