Hey where did u happen to buy that solid billet grill from? Was the grill bent at all from shipping? I bought a 2pc back for my old truck and it was bent and just looked bad from shipping damages. They sent me another and same kinda thing. It looks awesome on an all black truck.
Thanks

hey... not super related to the main grille, but I did a bunch of reading on the billet bumper grille like you have installed in your truck... (looks great by the way) and it's a real downer... I had mine in for about 14K on my 12 EB. I noticed that lately my truck had been getting worse mileage and didn't feel as peppy, but chalked it up to the new set of 34 10 ply's I had just thrown on... After doing my research, turns out that that nice looking little bumper grille causes quite a disturbance in airflow, i.e. greater than 5% which causes significant reductions in intercooler efficiencies. Asking what I could do to fix, I discovered the obvious first solution was to remove the grille even though it looks so bad ***. After that, I unplugged my battery for several hours.... some people say it only takes 15 mins but i've also heard that it took a couple hours for other folks... SO i chose to unplug for several hours so the computer would remap the next time I drove.
HOLY. SH*@!!! Not even the same truck... I wish I was making this up because that little grille made the front end of my truck look much nicer than a gaping hole, but not the case. Went from not being able to hardly squeal the tires with Traction control off, to it chugging and wanting to roll them with the TC on. I also removed the so called "bandaid intercooler shrouds" on the top of the IC. Not sure how this will affect me down the road or in the winter, but i'm giving it a try. I live in central Idaho where relative humidity is about 12% on an average day so I'm not ultra concerned about the condensation issue. Haven't had it happen yet. Just thought I'd share because I never would have known had I not stumbled upon a ford SB regarding intercooler updates. I would have just kept driving and inefficient and slower EB trying to fix it with other upgrades. Removing that 50 dollar grille probably saved me 1000 bucks. hope this reaches some dudes wanting their power back...
