Default Gibson Exhaust model 9541review

Just finished installing my Gibson exhaust. Took about 1 hour and 15 minutes start to finish. The instructions provided were cut off and in back and white. I had to go online and download them myself to get all the words. (I'll include the link at the bottom.)

The new exhaust system has two photos that show how to mount the drivers side rear hanger photo, one is drivers side and one is a flipped copy of the same photo. It shows with the factory hitch however I have a factory hitch and didn't have the bolt where it showed. I had to use the provided hardware kit. The drivers side also has an issue with running to close to the brake lines above the axle. This is not a fault of the kit, just ford putting things in the way of all left side pipes. I used zip ties to keep them out of the way.

Also the left pipe needed to be man handled to correctly line up to be inserted into the muffler and would only work with the muffler on a 15° clockwise rotation.

I'll include pictures and sound clips later but I give the following grades:

Instructions : 4/10
Install time : 8/10
Price : 8.5/10
Fit/finish : 6.5/10

I forgot to post about the sound.

Its quiet in cab and mild on the exterior. There is no drone and with the radio on you don't even notice it. I have about 50 miles on it so far so if it breaks in and gets louder I'll post that update.

So here's an update. The fitment of the right hand pipe is poor and hits the spare exhaust shield. It makes a random clack sound. Not good. Its also very quiet when you get on it. Over all I would not buy it again after having it on there and driving a few thousand miles.
