FOX 2.5 coilovers ,adjustable
Hi ,,, guys , I've joined this form to get some solid advice on some suspension mods I have been looking into. I currently have a f-150 Lariat , 4wd , 5L ,,, with the 7 inch " big lift kit" from ready lift. Butttt Id like a little more lift. I called ready lift and they suggested fox 2.5 coil overs for the front for 2 more inches of lift. of coarse id have too raise the rear 2 inches as well, any suggestions too what I could do? there is currently a 5 inch block back there that came in the big lift kit. Thanks for any help you can give.

The add -a- leaf ,, is a great idea and they have them for my year of truck and model. Buttt when I mentioned I want too put fox shocks on with my 7 inch ready lift,,, the local 4wheel parts dealer was not advising it. he said I could run into a lot of troubles with adding the 2 inches with the fox coil overs. But when I called readylift they said it wouldn't be problem. Anybody have any opinions on this ? And thank -you for your last reply f-150-05

The coilovers are made for a 6" lift. So if you installed them just say at 2" of additional lift, you'll really only get 1". So I think the max you'll get is 1".
Second you need to see how much the actual drop is on the lift. I know rough county and I think bds use the same drop brackets for their 4" and 6" kits. Only thing that changes are the shocks or spacer. So if the ready lift drops it a full 7" then you can possibly add up to 2.5" safely and maintain good angles.

I contacted Readylift again and got a different answer this time , they suggested not going with the fox shocks as they could cause other component damage. They did say they are working on finding a way too do it ,,but not there yet . So I guess that scratches that particular idea. Which leads me too my next idea lol. if I cant do it suspension wise .Could I do it body wise ? By adding a 2-3inch body lift too my current set up ? would this not leave all the other parts in place and just raise my body, giving me a little more over all height? Thank - you once again for any advice .
